Process
Our Process: Your Path to Franchise Ownership
We make the franchise discovery process simple, structured, and stress-free. Our goal is to help you find a franchise that aligns with your skills, goals, and financial situation. Here’s what to expect as we guide you through each step:
1. Contact Us & Initial Consultation
Our consultation services are completely free—we’re retained by franchisors to connect them with qualified candidates. During this initial conversation, we’ll discuss: Your background & experience
Your financial situation & investment range
The franchise categories that interest you most
2. Personalized Consultation & Business Matching
This stage is all about getting to know you. We’ll explore:
Skills & experience – What strengths can you bring to a business?
Lifestyle goals – Do you prefer a hands-on or semi-passive role?
Investment level – What financing options are available to you?
Based on your preferences, we’ll introduce you to franchise concepts that align with your goals. You’ll discover both well-known brands and hidden gems you may not have considered. Keep an open mind many of the best opportunities are ones you weren’t initially looking for!
3. Franchise Introductions & Discovery Process
Once we’ve identified franchises that match your criteria, we’ll introduce you to the franchisors so you can begin your discovery process.
Franchisors don’t simply sell a franchise—they award them to candidates who are the right fit. Our goal is to match you with franchises where you’ll thrive and succeed.
At this stage, you’ll: Have initial calls with franchisors to learn about their business model, support, and
expectations. Gain a deeper understanding of daily operations, financial requirements, and long-term
potential. Receive key resources and materials to help you evaluate each opportunity.
This is your chance to ask questions, assess the opportunity, and determine if it’s the right fit for you.
4. Reviewing the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)
Once you’ve engaged with franchisors and identified those you’re seriously considering, you’ll receive a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). This legal document provides a comprehensive breakdown of the franchise, including:
Initial & ongoing costs
Franchisor support & training
Performance of existing franchisees
We’ll help you understand the FDD’s contents and highlight key areas to focus upon.
5. Speaking with Current Franchisees
Before making a decision, it’s essential to speak with current and former franchisees. These conversations provide firsthand insights into:
Day-to-day operations
Profitability & challenges
Their overall experience with the franchisor
We’ll supply a list of key questions to help you gather the most valuable information.
6. Consultation with a Franchise Attorney & Accountant
Before signing any agreement, it’s critical to have it reviewed by experienced professionals. We strongly recommend working with a franchise attorney and accountant to ensure you fully understand your legal and financial commitments.
If you don’t already have professionals in place, we can connect you with trusted franchise experts.
7. Attend a Discovery Day
Most franchisors host a Discovery Day, where you can:
Visit a franchise location and see the business in action
Meet the franchisor’s support team
Get answers to any final questions
This is your opportunity to further validate the opportunity before making your final decision.
8. Decision Time: Take Control of Your Future
At this point, you’ll have completed all the necessary steps to make an informed decision. If you choose to move forward, you can do so with confidence, knowing you’ve taken the right steps toward business ownership and financial independence.
